Gilbert S. Clement, 64, of Kensington, died Wednesday (Sept. 9, 2015) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in Waterbury, the son of the late Leo and Leonette (Normandin) Clement, and has lived the last several years in Kensington. He was employed at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain as a Safety Training Officer for 19 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW in Oakville and the Vietnam Veterans of War in Middletown, the Interstate Police Officers Association and the International Association of Hospitals and Healthcare.
Gil is survived by his wife Maria (Campagna) Clement, daughter, Dawn and her husband John Juraska of Waterbury, two sons, Adam and his wife Janelle Pietrowicz of Old Lyme and Michael Pietrowicz of Plainville; three grandchildren Brittany Clement, Tyler Juraska, and Vinzenzo Pietrowicz; a sister Joan and her husband Brian Normandin; 4 brothers Robert Clement, Paul Clement, Raymond Clement and Ronald Clement and their wives; his father and mother in law Vincenzo and Maria Campagna; his sisters in law Antonietta and her husband Seby Fraello and Dolores and her husband Mark Carlone and his brother in law Nick Campagna and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Patricia Clement, and two brothers Dennis Clement and Richard Clement.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:00AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church Kensington. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
