Obituary of Ramon I. Rivera

Ramon I. Rivera, 80 of New Britain, died Thursday (June 15, 2023) at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, surrounded by his loved ones, after a short yet valiant battle with Cancer. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he lived most of his life in New Britain. He was the husband of the late Lisa (Kerin) Rivera. During his career, Ramon owned and operated both a Landscaping Company and a Hardwood Floor Refinishing Company. He served his country in the United States Air Force, and enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and most of all golfing.

Ramon is survived by his son Ramon Rivera Jr., his daughters Cristina Ramirez and her husband David; Juliana Rivera and Pedro Ayala; his grandchildren Alicea Ramirez, David Ramirez Jr., Julian Ayala and Izabella Ayala. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved him, and will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held Friday (June 23, 2023) at 10:30 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
