Obituary of Josephine Dimeo

Josephine S. (Dorio) Dimeo, 97, of Kensington, died Tuesday night at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Sebastian and Maria Dorio, she lived in Kensington since 1934. She had worked many years at Prentice Manufacturing, Landers, Frary and Clark and General Electric and was also a member of St. Paul's Church. Her husband Peter Dimeo, died previously. Mrs. Dimeo is survived by two daughters Antoinette Henshaw of Lisbon, CT, and Marie and her husband Jeffrey Arute of Berlin, five grandchildren Cheryl Pomerenke, Darcy Arute, Sandra Prestash, William and his wife Lisa Arute and Kathy and her husband Craig Albert; ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Michael Henshaw and a sister Theresa Cavallo and a brother Sam Dorio. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Church Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday (today) from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
