Lorraine M. Gosselin, 84, died Saturday morning at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in New Bedford, MA, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Anna (Guevremont) Sasseville, she lived in New Britain from 1955 thru 1977, and in Daytona, FL until 2000 at which time she returned to Connecticut. She retired after many years with Cigna and was well known for her love of the ocean because of the many summers she spent at York Beach, ME. She was the wife of the late Alfred H. Gosselin.
Mrs. Gosselin is survived by a son Joseph and his wife Dawn Gosselin of Southington; two daughters Ann and her husband Richard Eaton of East Hampton, Claire and her husband Philip Dziedzyk of Swans Island, Me; two sisters Claire Kirk of Windsor, Lucille and her husband George Gosselin of New Bedford, MA, seven grand children Timothy Eaton, Jacqueline Eaton, Michael Eaton, Elizabeth and her husband Marcus Lewis, Theresa Dziedzyk, Stephanie Dziedzyk and Kathleen and David Lemoine; three great grand children Zuzu Lemoine, Calvin Lemoine and Ethan Lewis; one nephew Paul Gosselin, and two nieces Susan Gosselin and Monique Herold. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday 11:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Church 1010 Slater Road New Britain. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
