Obituary of John J. Eselunas

John J. Eselunas, Sr., 91, of New Britain, died late Friday Night at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Born in New Britain and a life long resident he was employed for over thirty years as a truck driver with the Mid Atlantic Trucking Co. and Branch Motor Express. He was a member of St. Andrews Church, the Varpas Dramatic Club and was an avid bowler, golfer and card player who loved his set back tournaments. John is survived by his wife Hedwig (Unghire) Eselunas, his son John J. Eselunas, Jr. and his wife Lorraine of New Britain, his daughter Nancy and her husband Thomas Barrett of NewBritain; two grandchildren Jennifer and her husband Paul Webster, and Matthew Barrett; a great granddaughter Julia Webster; a brother Alphonse Eselunas of Williamsburg, VA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Joseph Eselunas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Andrews Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews Church 396 Church St. New Britain.
