Obituary of Lucy A. LaRosa

Lucy A. (Coppola) LaRosa, 98, of New Britain died Wednesday (Oct.19, 2016) at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Theresa Coppola, she was a lifelong resident. She worked at New Britain Machine for many years, was a member of the New Britain Senior Center, St. Ann's Church and was an avid card player. Mrs. LaRosa is survived by her grandson Lane Gerhardt and his wife Anjou of Nashville, TN; two great grandchildren Sadie Gerhardt and Jake Gerhardt; loving niece Donna DiBenedetto of Newington, CT; and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her husband Salvatore LaRosa, Sr. and her children Joyce Gerhardt and Salvatore LaRosa, Jr. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (Oct. 25, 2016) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Church North St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
