Cecile M. Ouellette, 91, of New Britain passed into eternal rest Sunday Morning (Sept. 11, 2016) at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in France, she lived in Maine for several years before moving to New Britain where she was employed for many years at Stanley Works. She was the widow of Ludger Ouellette. Cecile was a member of St. Andrews Church and also attended St. John the Evangelist Church in New Britain. She was well known to enjoy spending many a summer day working in her large vegetable and flower garden. Cecile is survived by her children Bernard Ouellette of New Britain, Michael and his wife Julieann Ouellette of Plainville, Maria Theresa and her husband John Cass of Kensington and Robert Ouellette of Meriden; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Ludger, she was also predeceased by her daughter Cecile (Ouellette) Daigle. Funeral services will be held Thursday (Sept. 15, 2016) 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church 655 East St. New Britain. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, 1141 Stanley St. New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews Church.
