Obituary of Paul Sokolowski

Paul Sokolowski, "Puppie", age 93, formerly of West Willington, CT died January 30, 2009 at the Hospital of Central CT at New Britain General. Paul was born in New Britain, May 25, 1915. He was the son of the late Michael and Helen (Teslia) Sokolowski. Paul was the patriarch of his family. He was a man who loved all and all loved him. He retired from Colt Firearms after 45 years of service and was a veteran of WW II serving his country in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his daughters: Marian Lucier and her husband William of Chaplin, CT and Anne Stawiarski and her husband Richard of Cape Cod, MA, five granddaughters, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Paul was a founding member of St. Michaels Ukrainian Church in Hartford and the Ukrainian National Home of Hartford. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #26 in Stafford Springs and the Polish National Alliance. Paul was proud to have built two homes in Willington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Church, New Britain. Friends may call at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq, New Britain on Thursday morning from 8:30 AM until the time of Mass. Burial with full military honors will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington.
