Anni Schmitt, 95, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2016, at an area convalescent home. Born in Germany to the late Willhelm and Marie Kramer, she migrated to the United States in 1953, and married the late Emil Schmitt. A long time New Britain resident, together with Emil, operated the Schmitt Tool Company. Anni is survived by her son, Guenther Loy of Germany, and one grandson, Thorsten Loy, also of Germany; along with her dear friends Fritz Sillner and Lydia Williams of Southington. Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
