Obituary Adele Sylvester Hubbard, 83, of Kensington, wife of John G. Hubbard, died Tuesday after an extended illness. Born in New Britain on June 16, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Grimaila) Sylvester. She was a graduate of New Britain High School and had lived in Kensington since 1964. Adele was employed by Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford until 1959, when she left to raise her daughters. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Besides her husband John, Adele is survived by four daughters, Anne Hubbard of Germany, Alice O'Connor and her husband David of Easthampton, MA, Mary Kelleher and her husband Michael of Enfield, and Ellen Kierwiak and her husband Joseph of Berlin; four grandchildren, Joseph R. Kierwiak IV, Kara, Bridget, and Kelly O'Connor. Adele is also survived by her two sisters, Eva Sylvester and Nellie Larson and her husband Albert. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Adele was predeceased by her brother Joseph Sylvester, and her sisters Aldona Zigas and Helen Sylvester. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:00 A.M.from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq, New Britain with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Britain. Friends and family are invited to call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association CT Chapter, 279 New Britain Rd. Ste 5, Kensington, CT 06037.
