I'm sorry for jacks passing. jack was a great gentalman, he and dottie use to have our family over for her 4 corse dinners, her notable 'hordeoveries', one time we were all over for dinner and jack showed off his new tv. and a football game was on. he and my day would sit and watch till dot called for dinner....good times...dottie passed jack moved south, and our family miis him dearly. I'm the only left from our dinner gathering...those were great times.... not like now...rest well jack you will be back soon on earth..Gods promice...my best to the family's of MR.JOHN "JACK" BURKE...

Dear Family of Jack, We only learned of Jack's passing yesterday at or Aqua Arthritis Class at Newington Healthtrax, we are saddened to learn of your loss as well as ours. Jack was such a wonderful fixture in our Tuesday and Thursday morning pool exercise classes. We all have missed him so after his issues during the winter. We held a silent prayer for him and we all know he is scoring numerous 'holes in one' with his golfing partners. Our deepest heartfelt sympathies are extended to you for your loss.

Please allow me to express my deepest condolences on the passing of John Burke. Today, while visiting my parents in The Villages, FL, and reading the morning paper, I read Jack's obituary and the mention of his service in the Amphibious Reconnaissance Company of the Marine Corps, a unit I've researched extensively for a book I'm writing. I immediately went to my archive, confirmed his identity by birth date, birth location, and USMC records, and read his personnel file. Jack lived an extraordinary life as a young Marine. I would be very happy to share the materials I have and equally as interested in learning about who Jack was. When the time is right please contact me (email, phone, or text). My father Irving Wiers and Jack worked as controllers at Bradley Airport together for many years. All our lives we heard about"Jack Burke"! My father got a kick out of him but he deeply respected the man. Jack would send funny cards throughout the year, any occasion would do! Our family felt a deep sadness when we read about him passing even though I never met him! My father passed last Feburary so I'm sure they are playing golf up there together on a green that is smooth as glass with 12 in. holes! Our heart felt sympathy, the Wiers family

Today, I am so sad to have learned of Jack's passing from his earthly home, to his eternal home in Heaven. As a little girl, and right into young adulthood, Jacks shaped my life. He was like a 2nd father to me, and through him I knew Love, laughter, joy, fun and family. Kate, Ellen, Margaret and all of the Burke family, I am so blessed to have had this amazing man be such a wonderful part of my life. Jack and Ellie, our mother, grandmother, great-grandma, and mother-in-law, as the case may be, were a big part of all our lives. They showered love and attention on all of us whenever we got together. We are grateful for Jack taking such good care of Ellie, for the trips they enjoyed, their time in Florida, the rhyming birthday cards and his irrepressible spirit.
