Dear Bonola family, I mourn the loss of this old family friend, Mario. In younger years, Mario was a great tease. Later I came to appreciate what a great guy he was in so may ways. Needless to say, he and Angie raised a wonderful family as witness to the thoughtful and loving care that he and Angie were given in their years of great need. Let it not be forgotten that Mario was probably the best leader of the Italian Fraternal Society of his generation. It certainly was his passion and he worked tirelessly. His strong leadership qualities turned people off at times, but that was the typical characteristic of the earlier generation that made the Society a strong organization. I also admired Mario and Angie for the encouragement they gave to their children who formed the Scholarship Award program of the IFS, that was not always well supported by members of his generation. Most of all I treasure memories of the visits that I and Daria Lombardo had with him while he was house bound. What fun it was and especially to recall past events of our shared culture. To all the Bonola family, my most sincere sympathy.

Dear Judy, Linda, Nancy, Joanne, Joe, and families, I was very sad to hear of the passing of Mario, he was very special to me and we had some really great laughs together, he always loved telling me stories of you kids growing up, and keeping me updated on his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was so VERY PROUD of every single one of you !!!! His eyes would just beam when ever he would talk about the children and their antics, who was getting married next or having a child !!! He just so loved his family !!! And he always talked about your Mom !!! Wondering if she knew what was happening here, and we would always come to the same conclusion that Yes she knows !!! And now Mario and Angie will both be together watching over everyone !!! Please know that they BOTH hold such a special place in my heart and I will never forget them. I feel blessed to have known them !!! Know that you all have my deepest sympathies and are in my prayers !!!
