Obituary of Roland J. Hughes

OBITUARIES Roland J. Hughes, 77, of Plantsville, died Monday at home. Born in New Britain, where he lived many years, he moved to Plantsville in 1963 and was the husband of the late Diane (Ludwinowicz) Hughes. He was employed for many years as an inspector at Fenn Manufacturing in Newington retiring in 1994, and was a member of the Southington Elks Lodge No. 1669. Roland is survived by his son Alan Hughes of Meriden; three sisters Gladys, Theresa and Ruth; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
