I recently learned of Florence's passing I am sending my condolences to Steven, James, Susan and Lori, all of whom I met when you were very young. Your mother sang with us in the Sweet Adelines for many years. I also sang in quartets with her, her sister, Lillian, and Mary Jayne Crandall. Now all are deceased and I'm sure they are harmonizing in Heaven. I was also in a quartet with Marie Thelen and Susan Gunas. (That may help you to remember me.) Your mother was known for her smile, her graciousness and friendliness. I have many fond memories of her laughing and happy spirit. I'm sure all of you do too. She deeply loved her children. You all brought much happiness to her life. I have been living in Sarasota, Fl. for many years. When I lived in Connecticut, I lived mostly in Manchester. That's why I was unable to get to her funeral. Please know that I am thinking of you during this stressful time in your lives. But now she no longer suffers and is looking down at you with much love. Sincerely, Edna Gordon
