Yvonne Gariepy Neurath, 89, of Wallingford, died Thursday (Jan. 28, 2016) at Mid State Medical Center in Meriden. Born in Williamstown, Vermont, she lived all of her life in New Britain and Wallingford. She was predeceased by her husband Donald F. 'Babe" Neurath, in 1995. During her career, she worked as a certified practical nurse at the Masonic Home in Wallingford and more recently she was employed by the Dattco Bus Lines as a bus monitor. All her life, Yvonne greatest pleasure was cooking and baking for her family and she took special pride in her great grandchildren Yvonne is survived by her daughter Carol and her husband James Morin of Wallingford, her son Raymond Gariepy of Wichita, Kansas, her step daughter Christine Neurath and her partner Cathy Phelps of Windsor; three grandchildren Eudora and her husband Val Pascale, Ryan and his wife Deana Morin and Blaine Morin; 5 great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters Emile Groleau of New Britain, Marcel Groleau of Barre, VT, Alice Valle of Charmont, NH, and Rollande Blakeslee of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 6 sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church 295 Arch St. New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka KS 66675.
