Barbara (Murphy) Lorch, 83, of New Britain, died Wednesday (Jan. 13, 2016) at the Jerome Home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late James A. Murphy, Sr. and Bertha (Noe) Murphy she was the wife of the late Charles R. Lorch.
Barbara is survived by two daughters Elizabeth L. Nigro and her husband, Richard of Kensington; Jane L. Murphy and her husband, Daniel, of Southington; a son Richard and his wife Sheree of New Britain; grandchildren, Heather and Ramon Marquez, Robert Moorcroft and Michelle Soucy, Nicole Murphy, Jessica Murphy, Michael and Rebecca Lorch, Meghan Lorch and Cody Gill, and Matthew Lorch and Kayleigh Murphy; her great grandchildren Eliza, Ramon, Jr., Zoey, Zachary, Madison and Ryan; and a sister Rita McCue of Plainville. She was predeceased by two brothers, James Murphy, Jr. and Edward Murphy.
Funeral services will be private. She will be buried with her husband Charles R. Lorch in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Church 479 Alling St. Kensington, CT 06037.
