I was saddened to learn of Dr Ohanesian's death but appreciative of a life well-lived. I first met him as a student nurse and worked with him at NBGH. He was well respected, kind and fatherly. An excellent physician! I was fortunate to have him as my own doctor, and having him deliver my children. When my mom was dying of ovarian cancer, he came to our home to bring the medicine we needed to keep her comfortable after going to the pharmacy after hours to get it. He was my sister's doctor as well as most of the other nurses I knew. I will always remember his smile, his kindness and his professional demeanor. May he rest in peace and his family be comforted by the knowledge that we all cared about him as he cared about us.

Dr. Ohanesian was my doctor and delivered my three children - the first nearly 40 years ago. The sound of his whistling always preceded his entering into the room, and always gave me great comfort. I will always remember his calming presence and gentle demeanor. He truly was a gift to his patients and his profession. May his family take comfort in the memories of a life well lived! I was blessed to have him as my doctor all those many years.

Seeing Dr. Ohanesian's face in the Herald today made me very sad. He was my doctor for many years. He delivered my three sons. He helped me though some rough times with caring and grace. His smile always made me feel so much better. So sad for you at this time. I am sure he has a special place in heaven. Condolences to all of you.

My deepest condolences. Dr O was my obgyn for many years til he retired. Such a wonderful, caring doctor. When I heard of his passing this morning, though saddened, I had to smile remembering several conversations we had during my pregnancies. He was a real father figure who also was my mom's Dr as well as my mother's-in-law. Just last week I was speaking of him to my daughter who is also about to become a mother, too. He will always be very fondly remembered by my family. Peace.

Sincere sympathy to the Ohanesian family. I worked as an RN in labor and delivery with Dr. Ohanesian for many years. A kind quiet dedicated wonderful doctor-----and he delivered my three children.
