Edward DiSanto, 62, beloved husband of Barbara (Cadder) DiSanto, of Southington, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, December 13, 2015. Born in Albany, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph DiSanto, Sr. and Mary DiSanto. Edward worked as a machinist for over 30 years., and a tradesman building his own home for his family. In his last years he accomplished his dream to open his own business and was a painter known well to many as Ed the Painter. Edward was a genuine good person who loved his wife, daughter and granddaughter. An avid gardener and fisherman, you could find him in his garden or at the pond. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his adored daughter Lauren of Southington, and his granddaughter Reanna of California. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rita. He leaves behind his two brothers, Joseph and wife Cindy of MA, and Paul and Carol of Glastonbury; his father-in-law, John Cadder of Newington, brother-in-law, John Cadder of Bloomfield, sisters-in-law, Ann Diaz of Southington and Jeanne Szewczak and her husband Roman of Newington and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church, New Britain. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 825 Brook St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
