Steven J. Dube, 55, of Newington died at his home on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 after a long illness. Born in New Britain, he was the son of Angela (Cote) Dube of Wethersfield and the late Joseph Armand Dube. A graduate of New Britain High School, he was formerly employed as a welder prior to an early retirement. Steven's interests were fishing, antique car shows and the love of The Lord. Steven showed his love for his family and friends by being there for them with any type of help he could offer. He was always ready with a joke and will be sadly missed by all. Besides his mother, he leaves his three sisters, Beverly O'Looney and her husband Edward of Week Wachee, FL; Jeannine Pellerin of Phoenix, AZ and Pamela Salerno and her husband Thomas of New Britain; his former wife and best friend Marilyn, three nephews Brent and Nathaniel Russell, Jesse Selvey; two nieces Meghan Pellerin and Kaitlyn Salerno; two great nieces and five great nephews and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Dube.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Church, 98 Franklin Sq., New Britain. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 306 Industrial Park Rd, Suite 105, Middletown, CT. 06457.
