Larry Bossie, 66, of Cromwell, CT passed away unexpectedly Wednesday July 8, 2015 at his "home away from home" cottage at Lake Williams in Lebanon, CT. Born April 16, 1949 in Caribou, ME, the son of the late Ronaldo and Verna (Saucier) Bossie, where he grew up before moving to CT and lived most of his life in Newington then Cromwell with his loving family. Larry was a US Navy Veteran who served on the USS Forestall from 1968 - 1971 during the Vietnam War. He was a Manager at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden, CT for many years before retiring in 2011. Larry is survived by his loving wife Sandra (Marocchini) Bossie of 46 years, his daughter Denice Weldon and her husband William of Manchester, his son Daniel Bossie and his wife Natisha of Cromwell. His 3 grandchildren, Kevin and Dylan Weldon, Naliya Bossie as well as one more special bundle of joy on the way. His brother Thomas and his wife Valerie Bossie of Middlefield, his two sister's Julie and her husband Guy Ingham, Lisa and her husband Christopher Fracasso, and sister-in-law's Eileen Bossie all of Bristol and Cathy Shaw of Arkansas. His nephew's Guy Jr. and his wife Sara Ingham; Brandon and his wife Carly Ingham and Troy Dixon all of Bristol. His niece's Ashley Dixon of Thomaston, Margaret Bossie of Middlefield, Kelly (Shaw) Tidwell and Melinda Shaw of Arkansas. Great nephew's Nathan, Evan, Aiden and Logan Ingham all of Bristol, and Great niece Gabrielle Tidwell of Arkansas. His step niece and nephew's Christina DiNardi and her husband Kevin, Frank and John DiNardi. Larry was predeceased by his brother Maynard Bossie, sister's Margaret and Dora Mae Bossie. Also his brother-in-law Michael Shaw. Larry leaves behind so many loving friends and former co-workers. He has touched so many lives and leaves loving memories with each and every one who knew him. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. He was a member of Cromwell Fish & Game for many years. Larry loved the cottage life at Lake Williams and managed to help accomplish the revival of Lake Williams and the Dam area with the help of his "colleagues" at Lake Williams Assoc. He also loved to travel with his wife, family and friends. He will be so dearly missed by all. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, with a mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St. Peter Church, 98 Franklin Sq. New Britain Burial will be private in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
