Marjorie (Kayeski) Blaskey, 81, formerly of New Britain, died Saturday (Mar. 7, 2015) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late George and Nellie (Yurewich) Kayeski, she lived most of her life in New Britain. She was the wife of the late Donald A. Blaskey, whom she had been married to for 45 years. A Registered Nurse, she had worked for New Britain General Hospital and the Grove Hill Clinic for many years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, the New Britain General Reading Club, the Cooking Club of Avon and was involved in many activities, especially bingo, at the Bel-Air Manor. Mrs. Blaskey is survived by her sister Irene Masterbone of Middletown, CT and several nieces and nephews, including Susan Coscina of East Greenwich, RI, and Anthony G. Masterbone of Middletown, CT. Funeral services will be held Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Church 655 East St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
