Anthony F. "Tony" Pappalardo, 76, of New Britain, died Friday (Feb. 13,2015) at the Hospital For Special Care in New Britain. Born in Hartford, the son of the late Santo Joseph and Salvatrice "Lena' (Tralongo) Pappalardo, he lived most of his life in New Britain. He was employed for many years at the Travelers, in Hartford. During his early years, Tony was very impressed by Dr. Lester Kochanowski. Dr. Kochanowski taught school prior to becoming a dentist and doctor, and had a great influence on Tony's life. He is a past president of C.C.A.R.C. and an avid New York Yankee fan. Tony is survived by his wife Mary Paulette (Miano) Pappalardo, their daughters, Mary Lauren Papparlardo of New Britain and Andrea Rossi and her husband John of Plainville ; two brothers, Carmen Pappalardo of Newington and Sebastian Pappalardo of Farmington; three grandchildren Alyssa Pappalardo, and Olivia and Gianna Rossi; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Christine Pappalardo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10:30 AM from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Ann's Church North St. New Britain. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann's Church, Hospital For Special Care or Msgr. Bojnowski Manor.
