Obituary of Eileen C. Rund

Eileen (Carlin) Rund, 81, of New Britain, died Wednesday (Jan. 7,2015) at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late James and Anna (Wile) Carlin, she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. Mrs. Rund is survived her husband, Kenneth Rund, two sons, Raymond and his wife Joann Rund of Enfield and Richard Rund of Manchester; four grandchildren Emily, Megan, Kevin and Olivia Rund; a sister Margaret and her husband Dick Burkharth of East Berlin and several nieces and nephews, including her niece Kathleen and her husband Edward Hajjar and her niece June Babel. She was predeceased by two sisters Mary Carlin and Agnes Carlin and a brother William Carlin. Funeral services will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church (corner of East St. and Newington Ave.) Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
