Stephania (Stella) Silverio of Westbrook, formerly of New Britain, beloved wife of the late Silvio A. Silverio died July 7 at the Middlesex Hospital. She was born February 10, 1920, in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of Mary Ann and Anthony Orszak. The Orszak family moved to New Britain where Stephania attended local schools. She was predeceased by her sister Rose Arneault. Stella worked in her father's store during the depression. She was also employed by Stanley Works and later as a machine gun clip inspector assisting with the war effort in a Connecticut factory. The decades that followed were filled with her work as a wife and mother. She lived each day with a zest for life that was admired by all who knew her. Her unique, fun-loving style, quiet confidence, and positive demeanor brought happiness and joy to her family and many friends. Stella summered in Westbrook for over 50 years, eventually making Westbrook her home. She enjoyed swimming, water-skiing, and jet-skiing. An avid fisherman, Stella could be found daily in her boat on Long Island Sound pulling up her lobster pots and fishing. She enjoyed those activities through her 80th year. She is survived by her children Mary Anne Wysocki and her husband Gregory of New Britain, Donna Silverio and husband Melvin Milgate of Spencer, MA, and Stephen Silverio of Nantucket, MA. She also leaves her grandchildren Gregg Wysocki and wife Karen, and Mark Wysocki, all of Boston, Justin and Stephen Wysocki of New Britain, Mia and Stefan Silverio of Nantucket, Tara Halwes of Berlin, MA, Corwin Halwes of San Francisco, and David and Mallory Milgate of Spencer, MA.
