Obituary of Florence Zadrozny

Florence B. Zadrozny, 89, of New Britain, died Friday (Dec. 5, 2014) resting comfortably at her home. A lifelong resident of New Britain, she was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Stec) Budnick. She was predeceased by her husband Henry S. Zadrozny and her daughter in law, Dana D. Zadrozny. Early in her working years, Florence was employed at Landers, Frary and Clark and later worked in several medical offices including the office of Dr. Joe B. Scully, Oral Surgeon. She retired from New Britain General Hospital after working in the surgical scheduling office. She was a proud member of the Jayettes Club and the Polish Gals Club, groups of lifelong friends that started together and in their teenage years. In her free time she enjoyed baking, sewing and knitting. However, her most treasured moments were spent with her children and grandchildren. Florence is survived by her children: Robert H. Zadrozny of New Britain, Diane Zadrozny Hammond of Vienna, Virginia , and David R. Zadrozny and his wife Mila of Coventry; six grandchildren, Brendan and Carly Zadrozny, Scott Hammond, Evan and Natalia Zadrozny and Amadeo Ruiu along with several nieces and nephews . Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome Church 1010 Slater Road New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
