David John Gerent, 36, of Meriden, CT left us unexpectedly in the early morning hours of November 1, 2014. This unique soul came into this world on December 29, 1977 in New Britain, CT to Thomas and Frances (Verdi) Gerent. He attended Berlin High School and graduated in 1996. After high school David attended Tunxis Community College where he received his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. After that he attended Goodwin Tech and received his phlebotomist, and Licensed Practical Nurse certification. He also interned at several area hospitals, including the Hospital of Central Connecticut.
David had a strong, selfless, and loyal heart for his family and friends and spent almost all his time in the company of them. He was very active and had a wonderful zest for life and a strong passion for living it to the fullest. At a very young age he developed a unique sense of humor that was sometimes misunderstood yet attracted and comforted nearly all those around him whose lives he touched.
