To the Carpinteri Family, My deep and heartfelt thoughts are with you during this difficult time following the unexpected passing of "Vinnie." He and I served as presidents of the two New Britain Lions Clubs during the same year, 1982-1983. He was the only Lion who stole my club bell (all in fun) and he always denied knowing anything about the theft even after I got the bell back some three months later. I always enjoyed Vinnie's stories he told at the beginning of every New Britain Evening Lions Club meeting. He was never at a loss for a "good" story.
