I would like to offer my most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Steve "Wart" Dowsett. I had gone to school with Steve back in the 60's at St Maurice and Aquinas. I will always remember him for his quick wit and mind. I hadn't seen Steve for almost 40 years until about 3 weeks ago and had Steve, Alan Lasch, Gene Rembisz and Bob Lohmeyer over to my house in Southington for pizza beer and of course soda. Steve seemed to genuinely enjoy the reunion with old friends as we talked about the good old days. The next day Alan and I picked him up and brought him to our 40th Aquinas High School Reunion at Zabarrah's Restaurant at Stanley Golf Course as Alan's date. Again he seemed to enjoy himself as he was able to catch up with 40-50 Aquinas graduates that he hadn't seen for years. When we brought him home that night we all felt grateful that we were able to bring such pleasure and happiness to his fading life. I know that even though I am writing this, all of us felt privileged to be part of this last major social event in his life. My thoughts and prayers are with Steve and his family. Paul Smith
