OBITUARIES
Stephen "Stevie" Daniel Misteri of Jarvis Lane Berlin, beloved father of Darrin Misteri died peacefully Monday at the Veteran's Hospital in West Haven. Stevie "Reno" was born in New Britain, the son of the late Ezio "Steve" and Florence (Buravo) Misteri, graduated from Berlin High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict for seven years.
He joined the family business, Wallabout Tire, in Berlin for ten years and later was employed by Manafort Brothers of Plainville.
In addition to his son Darrin, Stevie is survived by two sisters Bonnie Sheffield of Kensington, Beverly Misteri of Vermont, two brothers David Misteri of New York and Danny Misteri of Kensington, a niece Nicole Ferony, two nephews Jamie Lamb and John Sheffield, two grand nieces Natalie Richie, Florence Richie two grandnephews Kyle Lamb and David Richie.
Funeral services will be held Friday 10:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at
11:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Church Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Lung Association or a Cancer Association of the donor's choice.
