Obituary: Judith "Judi" Ann (Simeone) McIntyre, 57, of Kensington, beloved wife of George "Buddy" A. McIntyre, passed away unexpectedly on July 3, 2007. She was born on July 5, 1949 in New Britain to the late Joseph A. and Helen (Kriwacki) Simeone. Judi graduated from Mary Immaculate Academy in 1967. She was previously employed by the Hospital for Special Care, formerly New Britain Memorial Hospital. She was a loyal and dedicated employee of Northeast Utilities for 32 years, and a member of the Northeast Utilities Retirees Club. Judi loved to read, garden, cook and spend time with her family. An avid crafter she participated in juried craft shows throughout the state. She was a former Girls Scout leader with the CT Yankee Girl Scout Council. In addition to her husband of 35 years, Judi is survived by her brothers John Simeone and his wife Cathy of Berlin and Christopher Simeone and his wife Sue of Newington, her sisters Cathy Lapollo, Terri Noyes and her husband Larry; Marie Simeone; Tina Doyle and her husband Dan all of Berlin; and a sister-in-law Donna McIntyre of Bristol. Judi had a special spot in her heart for her godmother/aunt Edwina Kriwacki of Berlin. She is also survived by her other aunts and uncles, Antoinette Hutchinson of Berlin, David and Frances Pagini of Meriden, and Peter and Rosalie Kriwacki of Westfield; her nieces and nephews, John Eric Simeone and his wife Meredith; Jenny and goddaughter Alyssa Simeone; Scott Lapollo and his wife Jennie; Celine, Crystal, goddaughter Christy, and Joe Noyes; Katie and Maggie Doyle; Molly and Kelsey Simeone; Robert McIntyre and his wife Denise; goddaughter Laura (McIntyre) Leger and her husband Jeff; her great nieces and nephews: Madison, Grant, Sawyer and Layton Simeone; Oliver Lapollo; Josh and Katey McIntyre; Morgan Leger; and many cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers-in-law: Mark Lapollo, and William and David McIntyre. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain, on Sunday, July 8, from 5 - 8 P.M. A private funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Church, Kensington with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
