My condolences on Don's passing. I met him when I was sports editor at the Herald in the mid-1990s. He was always pleasant, helpful and a joy to be around. He knew so much about the history and color of New Britain and its sports teams and he was always willing to share his knowledge and stories whenever asked. He was so proud of New Britain and its athletic legacy. I feel fortunate to have met him.
