Obituary of Nellie Sarra

OBITUARIES Nellie C. (Pavano) Sarra, of New Britain, died peacefully Wednesday Morning at the Hospital of Central CT, surrounded by her family. Born in Floridia, Sicily, Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa (Giachino) Pavano, she lived most of her life in New Britain. A former member of St. Ann�s Church, she belonged to the Ladies Guild of St. Ann�s, the New Britain Senior Center, the Italian Fraternal Society, the Generale Ameglio Society and enjoyed many Wednesday Nights at the Shell in Walnut Hill Park listening to the concerts. Nellie is survived by her daughter Loretta Sarra of Cromwell, five grandchildren Maria Malone of Kensington, Kristina Labieniec of East Berlin, Robert L. Quarti of New Britain, Kathleen Davis of Hebron, and Susan Quarti of Old Wethersfield; six great grandchildren; one brother John Pavano of Farmington, one sister Rose Fazzina of West Hartford and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:30 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. at St. Ann�s Church North St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
