OBITUARIES
Eleanor E. Morley, 87, of 50 Bassett St. New Britain was called home to heaven on Friday (Nov. 3, 2006). She was a life long resident of New Britain and the loving wife of the late James K. Morley. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Ruth (Gordon) Hackbarth. Eleanor was admired by her family and friends for her courageous battle with cancer during the last two years. Eleanor was a charter member of Saint Jerome Church. She also attended Mass at Saint Andrews�s Church. Eleanor was a member of the Legion of Mary Auxiliary and an active member of the Daughters of Isabella Circle #12. Eleanor was self employed and well known for the wedding cakes that she made. One couple had one of her cakes frozen and shipped to Colorado for their wedding. Eleanor enjoyed traveling and among her favorites were her trips to the Holylands, Rome, and Ireland. Eleanor enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her friends at the School Apartments where she lived since 1981. She served on many committees at church and the School Apartments 1.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter Joyce Gernhard and a son Bruce Morley, Sr. and his wife Shirley all of Plainville, Eleanor leaves her loving grandchildren Diane Llasser of Hartford, Brenda Wells and her husband Rick of Plainville, Bruce Morley, Jr. and his wife Kiesha of Winsted, and Sharon DuTremble and her husband Michael of Bristol. Bringing even more joy and love to Eleanor are her great grandchildren Ryan Gillum, Bryan, Eric and Julie Llaser, Lindsay Morley, and Anita DuTremble. She leaves her step great-grandchildren, Steven, David, and Amanda Wells and a step great-great- grandchild Ja-Lynn. Eleanor so enjoyed the company the company of her brother-in-law and best friend , Adolph Warnat of Rocky Hill. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Russeau and her husband Joseph (Lou) of Lebanon, her brother-in-law, Milton Morley and his wife Iola and sister-in-law Eleanor W. Morley of New Britain. She leaves many nieces and nephews and several Godchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by a granddaughter Karen Rivenburgh and a son-in-law Joseph Gernhard.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at
St. Jerome Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the UCONN Neag Cancer Center, Farmington, CT, or St. Jerome Church, St. Ann�s Church, or St. Andrew�s Church, all in New Britain, CT. Eleanor has left her love and beautiful memories in the hearts of her family and friends to treasure forever and she takes with her to heaven all the love we have for her.
