OBITUARIES
Peter R. Agostini, 82, of New Britain, died Wednesday (Sept.20, 2006) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in New Britain, the son of the late Peter and Rose (Cacchillo) Agostini, he was a life long resident. He attended Niagra College as a Pre-Med Student when his father died and he left school to own and operate the family business, the New Britain Transportation Co. As president of the bus company, he initiated a charter business that ran throughout the United States including a trip to Alaska. He was a member of the Connecticut Bus Assoc., the New England Bus Assoc., the American Bus Assoc. and the American Public Transportation Assoc. In addition to all the Bus Company involvement, Peter was a member of St. Joseph�s Church and was a very active member of the Kiwanis Club. Peter served his country during World War II in the Navy earning several medals including the American Area Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Medal 1 Star and the Victory Medal.
Mr. Agostini is survived by his wife Olga (Vitelli) Agostini, two daughters Nancy Agostini, and Claudia Agostini, his son Peter and his wife Audrey Agostini, all of New Britain; his sister Jean Malinowski of Old Saybrook , two sisters in law Doris Vitelli, Terry and her husband Ralph Ingriselli and several nieces and nephews including Keith and his wife Susan Vitelli. He was predeceased by his twin brothers Ronald and Donald Agostini.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph�s Church. Burial will follow with Military Honors in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
