Obituary of Mary Mel

OBITUARIES Mary E. Mel, 84, of Bristol, died Tuesday at New Britain General Hospital. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Petrovsky) Chesanek, she lived in Plainville and New Britain, moving to Bristol in 1984. She had been employed at Emhart Corp. for many years. Mary is survived by her husband Joseph P. Mel, two sons Joseph J. and his wife Ingrid Mel of Burlington, Gerald P. Mel of Bristol; four grandchildren Ronald Mel, Randall Mel, Wendy McLaughlin, and Jeremy Mel; nine great grandchildren; a sister Helen Sutherland of Plainville and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Frank and John Chesanek. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home , 110 Franklin Square, New Britain, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph�s Church 195 South Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor�s choice.
