Obituary of Rosemary Espey

Rosemary Elena Espey 90, of Watertown, NY passed away March 24, 2006 at Ridgeview Convalescent Home. She was born in Rosiere, New York and was the wife of the late Gordon Espey of Marvel, Alabama. They were married on April 6th 1933 in Watertown, NY. While Gordon served in the Army they lived in Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana and then settled in Watertown (1947) to raise their family. Rosemary worked as a real-estate broker and an insurance agent After Gordon and Rosemary retired they spent 15 years in Arizona before moving to Connecticut in 1998. Rosemary was preceded by her beloved son Charles (Chuck) Espey of Alabama and U of Syracuse and is survived by her sister Katherine Weeks of Buffalo, NY, her daughters Jean and son-in-law Tom Stover of Chaumont, NY, Nancy Nolan and partner Dermot Atkinson of East Berlin, Ct, Barbara Espey and her partner Diane Webber of West Hartford, Ct , her sons Michael and daughter-in-law Patricia Espey of Dallas, Texas, Patrick and daughter-in-law Cathy Espey of Houston, Texas and 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be held Tuesday 2:00 P.M. at the Bethany Covenant Church 785 Mill St. Berlin, CT. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ridgeview Convalescent home gazebo fund. Farrell Funeral Home of New Britain is in charge of arrangements.
