Obituary of Albert J. Plourde

OBITUARIES Albert J. Plourde, 77, of Southington, died Thursday (Feb.16,2006). Born in Caribeau, Maine, he lived most of his life in New Britain and lived with his daughter Diana and son in law Larry in Southington for the last year. He was the husband of the late Sadie (Cyr) Plourde. He had been employed for many years at Pratt & Whitney and was a member of St. Peter Church. Mr. Plourde is survived by two daughters Diana and her husband Larry Derby of Southington, Norma Leden of Lebanon, CT, two sons Galen and his wife Carol Plourde of Idaho, and Paul and his wife Kathy Jo Plourde of Newington; two brothers, Clifford Plourde and Harvey Plourde of Florida, two sisters Madeline Valiette of Biddeford, ME, and Pauline Fournier of Saco, ME; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:15 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. at Peter Church. Burial will follow in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 538 Preston Ave. Meriden, CT 06450.
