OBITUARIES
Catrine Charity (Mangan) Woods (Keanie) of Milford, Ct and New Britain, CT, passed away Tuesday September 27, 2005. Born and raised in
New Britain, the daughter of the late Judge William F. and Laura (Pritchard) Mangan, she grew up in New Britain and graduated from New Britain High School and Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart in New York where she earned a bachelor�s in English. She also earned her CT Teacher Certification and Masters Degree in Education from Central CT State College. She taught in the New Britain School System for thirty years and she was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph�s Parish in New Britain where she was a daily communicant and former president of the St. Joseph�s Mother�s Club.
Mrs. Woods is survived by her son Anthony S. Woods and his wife Elizabeth of Lockport, NY and their children Tony, Caroline and Robert; her daughter Cecily W. Dermody and her husband John of Erieville, NY and their children John, Katrine, Kerry, and Patrick; her son Stephen R. Woods and his wife Sharon of Westbrook, CT and their children Kevin, Kyle and Caitlin; her daughter Marianne W. Ryan and her husband Christopher of Chesterfield, MA and their children Cecily, Sarah, Christopher and Luke; her son Robert Woods and his wife Melanie of Milford, CT and their children Rory and Liam. She is also survived by her sister Laura M. Gildea of Bridgeport and she was the proud aunt of 29 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert JC Woods, her sisters Mary Alice (Mangan) Scully, Patricia (Mangan) McMahon Walsh, Alicia (Mangan) Bennett and her brother William F. Mangan, Jr.
Catrine�s funeral service will be Friday (Sept.30,2005) 10:15 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 A.M. at St. Joseph�s Church 195 So. Main St.
New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00. In lieu of flowers, Catrine would wish donations to be made to "The Hurricane Katrina� victims through the Red Cross. Please visit www.FarrellFuneralHome.com.
