Obituary of Robert J. Albanese

OBITUARIES Robert J. Albanese, 77, of New Britain, died Thursday at New Britain General Hospital after a long illness. Born in New Britain, the son of the late Adam and Florence (Connor) Albanese, he lived most of his life in New Britain and was employed at Monarch Machine Company for many years retiring in 1990. He was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of the New Britain Senior Center and was an avid rock and mineral collector. Bob is survived by his wife Josephine (Siena) Albanese, his daughter Donna Albanese-Funk of New Britain, his son Thomas Albanese of Florida; three grandsons Ethan Robert Funk, Jonathan Albanese and Christopher Albanese; a niece Dale Anlyan, a nephew Francis Newfield; and a grandniece Kelly Anlyan. He was predeceased by his sister Virginia Newfield. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Square with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ann�s Church North St. New Britain. Burial will follow in the Veteran�s Section of Fairview Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
