OBITUARIES
John Charles Ferrara, "John-John� 40, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Middlesex Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. He was born in Norwalk, CT and resided in Southington, Kensington, and for the past 15 years he has called Meriden his home. John graduated from E.C. Goodwin Technical High School in New Britain and Hartford Technical Institute. He worked as an automotive technician for many years. His passion was working on cars, especially his �67 Camaro. He also enjoyed Nascar, building model cars and his dog Elmo. He enjoyed fishing on the ocean at Meigs Point. John-John�s beautiful blue eyes remind us of the ocean he loved so much. A favorite T-Shirt of his said it all, "My Rod and My Reel; They Comfort Me.� He is survived by his loving and devoted family; his wife Noelle (Petroka) Ferrara and his children Lisa Christine, Heather Marie and John Dominic; his father and step mother, Dominic and Maryann Ferrara of Kensington, his mother and stepfather Gail (Blowers) and Robert Stewart of Mechanicsburg, PA, his father and mother in law Jack and Lorrie Petroka of New Britain, his favorite sister and her husband Kimberly and William Quealy and his brother "in-laws�, who were more like brothers, John, David and Derek Petroka and predeceased by Scott Petroka. He leaves behind a step-grandmother, Angelina Garofano, six nephews and a special niece and godchild Kayla Ann Quealy and cousin Kelsie Ann Cunha. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins, who were always there for him. He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Vera Ferrara and Charles and Elsie Blowers. Dearest John we love you and will miss you until we meet again as promised by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held Monday 9:00 A.M. from the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A. M, at
St. Stanislau�s Church 82 Akron St. Meriden. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery New Britain. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation 18 North Main St. West Hartford, CT 06107 or to the Kidney Foundation 920 Farmington Ave. West Hartford, CT 06119.
