Josephine T. (Herzy) Zotter, 98, of New Britain, died Friday (May 2, 2014) at home. Born in Cudahy, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Pfister) Herzy, she lived most of her life in New Britain. She was the wife of the late Carl H. Zotter. A member of St. Peter Church, she was also a very active member of the Ladies Guild of the Church; a member of the Austrian Donau Club and an enthusiastic fan of the UCONN girls basketball team.
Mrs. Zotter is survived by her daughter JoAnn and her husband Robert Runk of Fairfield, her son Bruce C. Zotter of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren Andrew and his wife Kristen Runk, Amy Runk, Beth Zotter and her husband Michael Norris, and Brendan Zotter; three great grandchildren Remy Norris, Alexander Runk, Emily Runk; a brother William and his wife Evelyn Herzy of Kensington; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister and three brothers Anna Zotter, Charles Herzy, Otto Herzy and Herman Herzy.
Funeral services will be held Friday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Church 98 Franklin Square New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00AM until the mass at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter Church.
