Agnes (Redfern) Clark, 82, of Berlin earned her angel wings Monday (April 21, 2014) with her daughter by her side. Born in New Bedford, MA, the daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Cannon) Redfern, she lived many years in Berlin, moving to Emeritus Assisted Living in Torrington for the last three years to be close to her daughter. While there, she made many friends She worked in Insurance for many years and was a loyal member of St. Paul's Church for over 40 years. She is a former President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Msgr. Greylish Nights of Columbus. She was the wife of the late Henry "Frannie" Clark. Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughter Margaret "Peggy" and her husband Vincent Avallone of Torrington, her son James and his wife Elizabeth (Gibeau) Clark of Villanova, PA, seven grandchildren Alexander Avallone; Nicholas Avallone; Conrad Avallone; Elizabeth and her husband Duane Serpentine; Carolyn and her husband Jeremy Hastings; James and his wife Amelia Clark; and Sarah and her husband Ross Fairbanks; eight great grandchildren Andrew, Lauren, Paul, Meredith, Julia, Lilly, Jack and Hannah; Agnes also leaves a sister Margaret Redfern of Melrose, MA; and two nephews. Agnes will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul, placing others needs before her own. She enjoyed listening to the radio, especially her Irish music tapes. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Funeral services will be held Friday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St. Paul's Church Kensington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friendship Center 294 Arch St. New Britain, CT 06051or the Office of Radio and Communications 15 Peach Orchard Rd. Prospect, CT 0712.
