Obituary of Julia O. Kordek

Julia O. (Orioli) Kordek, 89 , of New Britain, died Sunday (March 2, 2014) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Carmine and Raffael (Marino) Orioli, she was a lifelong resident and the wife of the late Stanley Kordek. She had been employed as a crossing guard in New Britain and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and the Ladies Guild of the Church. Mrs. Kordek is survived by three sons George and his wife Linda Kordek of Kensington, Robert Kordek and Gary Kordek, both of New Britain; a daughter Kathleen Kordek of Freemont CA; a grandson Matthew Kordek; a sister Irma Ejza of Kensington and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church (corner of East St. and Newington Ave.) New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church 655 East St. New Britain, CT 06051.
