Margaret Lamprecht Turner, 96, formerly of New Britain, died Friday January 31, 2014 in Portsmouth, RI. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Peter and Aloisia (Pfabigan) Lamprecht, she had moved to Rhode Island eight years ago. She had been a Civil Personnel Officer with the U.S. Navy for many years and later was the executive secretary to the Chairman of the Board of Northeast Utilities in Connecticut. She was a former member of St. Peter Church and the ladies guild of the church. Margaret is survived by her sister Elizabeth Barmore of Little Compton, RI and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Ann L. Slater. A graveside service will be held Tuesday 10:30 AM at St. Mary Cemetery 1141 Stanley St. New Britain.
