Mary (Studzinski) Slipski, of Newington, died Tuesday (Jan. 28, 2014) at an area convalescent home. Born in New Britain, she lived most of her life in Berlin, moving to Newington about 12 years ago. She was the beloved wife of Casimir Slipski for 70 years. Along with her husband, she enjoyed spending time at their summer home in Salisbury and she was an avid knitter and walker.
Mrs. Slipski is survived by her daughter Laura and her husband Robert Zarotney of Newington, her son Thomas and his wife Nancy Slipski of MA, her grandchildren Cheryl Slipski, Nicholle and her husband Todd McKiernan, Patrick and his wife Rene DiPinto, Tommy Slipski, Michael and his wife Christina Zarotney, Emily Zarotney and Jayden Slipski; and her treasured great grandchilden Jack Dagata Evan Zarotney, Samantha and Abby DiPinto.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Mass Friday at 12:30 P.M. at the Church of the Holy Spirit 183 Church St. Newington. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Food Pantry c/o Town Hall131 Cedar St. Newington, CT 06111.
