Obituary of Margaret Hoha

Margaret M. (Hackett) Hoha, 88, of Newington, passed away Monday afternoon at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born and raised in Kensington, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Sullman) Hackett, she lived New Britain many years, moving to Newington in 1969. She was the wife of the late Peter Hoha. She was a 1943 graduate of Berlin High School. A devout catholic, Margaret was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church and St. Andrews Church. She retired in 1989 from the offices of Emhart with more than 40 years of services. A strong and independent woman, she was well liked by all who knew her.
Mrs. Hoha leaves to mourn her loss her sisters-in-law Mary Hack of Glastonbury, Delia Hackett of Deltona, FL, Doris Hoha of Plainville, who was always very special to her; her many nieces and nephews, who loved her so much; and many long time friends including her bingo buddies at St. John the Evangelist Church. She was predeceased by three brothers, John Hackett, James Hackett and William Hackett; two sisters Mary Daniels and Anna (Nancy) Frawley; and two nephews Charles Hackett and Russell Hackett.
Funeral services will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Church New Britain (corner of East St. and Newington Ave. at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain.
