Marilyn M. Quarti, 76, of New Britain, died Saturday (Sept. 7, 2013) at Hartford Hospital. Born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Ermine and Mary (Pozzo) Quarti, she was a lifelong resident. A graduate of New Britain High School, she was then employed at C.L.& P. for forty years. A member of the Italian Fraternal Organization, she was active with the New Britain Republican Town Committee for many years. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a sister Lorraine. Marilyn is survived by her sister Ancilla Carver of New Britain; two nephews Paul Carver and Marc Carver, and a niece Traci Carver-Coleman, all of New Britain; and her great nieces and nephews Sarah Carver, Emily Carver, Alexander Carver, Louis Coleman, Jr., Tory Carver and Alonzo Coleman. Funeral services will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church 195 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Farrell Funeral Home 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association 1701 North Beauregard St. Alexandria, VA 22311.
