Obituary of Timothy C. Sullivan
Timothy C. Sullivan 81, of Berlin Ct. passed away Friday, July 12, after a long battle with Dementia. Born in New Britain he was the son of the late Doris (Desmond) Sullivan and Patrick M. Sullivan Sr. of New Britain. He was predeceased by a brother Patrick M. Sullivan Jr. of Guilford.
He attended local schools. After high school he joined the Navy. After leaving the Navy he was employed by Pratt & Whitney as a Lead Man. He later became a Police Officer for the town of New Britain. After retirement he was employed by the State of Ct. Corrections Dept.
While with the Police Dept. for many years, he was the Vice President of the New Britain Police Union. He was also a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus, Daley Council number 12. He enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and the Patriots and tried to never miss a game. Everyone will miss all his stories about his adventures in other countries and on the high seas in the navy.
He leaves behind his Wife of 60 years to miss him Madeline (Markavich) Sullivan, his Daughter Susan (Joe) LaVallee of Berlin, a Son Daniel (Jen) Sullivan of South Carolina and a Son Timothy (Kerry) Sullivan of Alabama. Seven Grandchildren Joseph (Maureen) LaVallee of Kensington, Melissa (Joe) D'Aleo of E. Berlin, Daniel Sullivan of South Carolina, Nathan (Jade) Sullivan of Florida, and Benett Sullivan of Georgia, Coby and Kylie Sullivan of Alabama. Eight Great Grandchildren, Joseph, Katalana, Hailey, Rylee, Max, Peyton, Bryson, and Kayne.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Tuesday (July 23rd ) from 9:00 – 10:30 AM with a Prayer Service at 10:30AM at the Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane Middletown. Farrell Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides at Willow Way, Amberwoods of Farmington, for their tender care for Tim.
