I just received the current Wesleyan Magazine and was shocked to see the notice of Pete’s passing. We played baseball together and he was The Man. Great player and a great guy. A leader in every way and a steady influence on me as part of a really good 1964 team. My memories of Pete will remain with me forever.

Pete’s passing saddened me deeply as well as my other class of 68 soccer players! I also coached me baseball and later in life met on the soccer field Botha’s officials! When met again later in life as he became an attorney and I as a court room sheriff! He was the best of the best! Billy Huff’68

I was introduced to soccer as a student at Xavier High School. To that point in my life, I had been a basketball, baseball, and track/field athlete. Coach Sipples was our soccer coach during our sophomore, junior, and senior years.
After graduating from XHS in 1967, I enrolled at Wesleyan and played varsity soccer there for three academic years. Our team was very successful, and I enjoyed soccer immensely.
Thank you, Coach Sipples, for teaching me the basic skills and etiquette of soccer. You made me a better person in the process and a more skilled player as well. Rest in peace..........

Kate, Tim, Kyle and Catherine,
I'm glad I got to meet your dad a few times - at dinner after Kate's graduation, at a beautiful lake in Connecticut one summer's day, and at Hamish's baby shower - and always found him to be warm and welcoming. I hope fond memories of your dad will help soften the pain of losing him, and I hope you can bring each other some comfort during this time. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I was one of Mr. Sipple's students the first year he taught at Xavier High School. I remember him as an excellent teacher, an excellent baseball coach and a better person. He was extremely intelligent and had a sense of humor. He inspired myself and many others along the way and he will be missed. Thank you, Peter. Rest in Peace.

Peter was a wonderful, smart, and kind man. He was my brother-in-law, and I very much enjoyed seeing him as often as feasible. He had an excellent sense of humor and an excellent sociability with others. He was a great man and I shall be very sorry not to interact with him any more. But I shall have wonderful memories of him for the rest of my life. Tom Geisler

The gentle soul of Attorney Peter has flown to the eternal sanctuary. His unique combination of love, kindness, thoughtfulness, and mild temperament enriched every meeting with joy. Our cherished times in Florida are imprinted on my heart forever. The void left by his departure is immense for us all. Remembering him brings a rich legacy of warmth and wisdom to draw upon during this time of sorrow. My deepest sympathies go out to the entire family.
