Obituary of Salvatore G. Sequenzia
Salvatore Sequenzia, 86, of Bristol, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday May 2, 2024. He was the loving husband of Concetta “Tina” (Fisicaro) Sequenzia and was the son of the late Luigi and Natalizia (Amarena) Sequenzia. Born in Sortino, Sicily he lived in New York and New Britain before moving to Bristol. Sal worked as a butcher for many years and owned and operated Sal’s Market in Berlin. Sal enjoyed horse races, playing setback and watching the New York Mets, but what he loved most was spending time with family, especially his grandkids. He enjoyed teaching his grandsons how to make italian sausage from scratch. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in New Britain.
Besides his loving wife Tina who he spent almost 65 years with, he is also survived by his children: Natalie and her husband Thomas Carlone, Angela and her husband Rich Kaminske, Lou Sequenzia, Paula and her husband Tom Santa Maria, and Lisa and her husband Scott Percival. In addition, he is survived by his loving grandchildren, Thomas (Meagan) Carlone, Christina Carlone and Michael Fuery, Emma Carlone and her partner Jon Oh, Daniel and Olivia Kaminske, Louie (fiance Courtney), Jessica (and partner DeSean), Sophia, Isabella and Matteo Sequenzia, Michael (Jocelyn) Laposky, James Laposky, and Jake and Ethan Percival.
He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Fiducia and Maria Caruso, and a sister-in-law Nuccia Sequenzia. He is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Sal was predeceased by his sisters Carmela Pandolfi and Ciccina Caruso, a brother Frank Sequenzia, and a nephew Louie Fiducia.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday May 10, 2024 at 10:30 at St. Joseph Church, 195 South Main St. New Britain. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St. New Britain. Calling hours will be held Thursday May 9 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Farrell Funeral Home, 110 Franklin Sq. New Britain CT.
